datagramlevel
Datagramlevel refers to a type of networking layer or service model that handles data in discrete, self-contained units called datagrams. In this model, each datagram contains all the information necessary for delivery, including source and destination addresses, and is sent independently of other packets. The datagram level is most commonly associated with connectionless communication, where the sender and receiver do not establish a dedicated path before data transmission. Because of this independence, datagram communication can be more efficient for simple requests and responses, but it offers no guarantee of ordering, reliability, or error recovery.
The Internet Protocol (IP) is the classic example of a datagram layer. IP packets, or datagrams, are
Key properties of the datagram level include best‑effort delivery, lack of inherent sequencing, and stateless routers.
