Csúcsidei is a term found in Hungarian-language discussions of innovation and design thinking. It refers to the highest-value ideas identified during a structured ideation process. The word is formed from csúcs (peak, summit) and a suffix linked to ideas; its exact etymology is informal and varies by speaker. Csúcsidei are not a formal classification in standard policy or methodology, but the concept is widely used in corporate innovation programs, education, and startup work to denote ideas that merit further development and resource investment.

In practice, csúcsidei are those ideas that score highly on criteria such as potential impact, feasibility, scalability, customer value, and strategic alignment. The identification typically follows stages: generation of a broad set of ideas, screening to remove low-potential options, and a prioritization step using methods such as scoring rubrics, dot voting, or an impact–effort matrix. The result is a short list of csúcsidei that are prototyped, piloted, or funded.

Advantages include clearer focus, better allocation of scarce resources, and alignment with objectives. Limitations include subjectivity, potential bias, and the need for diverse input to avoid overlooking unconventional approaches.
