Clinoptiloliteheulandite is a mineral group belonging to the zeolite family. These zeolites are characterized by their complex crystalline structures, which contain interconnected channels and cavities. The chemical formula is variable but generally falls within the range of (Na, K, Ca, Mg)1-1.5(Al, Si)6O12·3.5-4.5H2O. Clinoptilolite and heulandite were historically considered separate minerals, but are now often grouped together due to their similar structures and chemical compositions, with clinoptilolite typically having a higher silica-to-alumina ratio.

These minerals are found in a variety of geological settings, commonly occurring in volcanic rocks, particularly in altered ash deposits and tuffs.
