Security, KYC/AML, and regulatory reporting are integral parts of operations.

Regulatory frameworks governing brokerside activities vary by jurisdiction but typically require registration as a broker-dealer or similar entity, ongoing compliance reviews, best-execution obligations, and investor protection standards. In the United States, oversight comes from regulators such as the SEC and FINRA; in the European Union, MiFID II and related rules apply to trading venues and intermediaries.

Trends in the brokerside include greater automation, API-enabled trading, white-label or partner platforms, cloud-based infrastructure, and enhanced data analytics to support decision-making and compliance.
