Beltchain is a term used informally to describe either a fashion accessory featuring a chain incorporated into a belt, or a conceptual or colloquial reference to a hybrid drive system combining belt and chain mechanisms.

As a fashion item, beltchains function as waist accessories with chains acting as the primary decorative element or as a fastening mechanism. They come in various lengths and chain styles, including curb, Figaro, or box chains, and may be combined with leather, fabric, or metal-backed belts. Materials range from stainless steel and brass to plated alloys; some designs incorporate charms or pendants. Closures vary from traditional buckle to hooks, lobster clasps, or hook-and-eye fittings. Beltchains have historical ties to mid-20th-century fashion and subcultures such as punk and rock styles; they periodically reappear in contemporary streetwear and haute couture.

In engineering, beltchain is not a standard term. Engineers discuss belt drives, chain drives, or hybrid configurations that use belts and chains in tandem. Such hybrids can aim to exploit the smoothness and quiet operation of belts with the high torque capacity of chains, but they are specialized and relatively uncommon. They require careful alignment, tensioning, and material selection to manage wear, slippage, and vibration.
