Main duties include selecting and setting up TIG welding equipment, choosing appropriate filler metals and shielding gas flow, adjusting parameters such as amperage, travel speed, and tungsten electrode type, and ensuring welds meet drawings and standards. They perform pre-weld prep, inspect joints, and may carry out basic non-destructive testing or coordinate with inspectors.
