Altoa is a city and provincial capital in the eastern coastal region of Veridia. It lies at the head of the Verdia River delta, where freshwater meets the sea, and functions as an administrative and economic hub for the surrounding area.

Altoa hosts a campus of Veridia University and several museums and theaters. Notable annual events include a maritime festival and a city market week.
