Urine tests can also be used to detect alcohol, though they typically indicate recent consumption rather than current intoxication levels, as alcohol is metabolized and eliminated from urine relatively quickly.

Saliva tests are another option, where a sample of saliva is collected and analyzed for alcohol content. These tests are non-invasive and can provide a quick indication of alcohol presence. The results of any alkoholitest can have significant legal and personal consequences, and accuracy can depend on the type of test, the device's calibration, and the method of administration.
