Alanyra is a coastal region in the eastern quadrant of the continent of Elaria. The area comprises low-lying delta lands, swamps, and inland forests, with the Serin River valley at its core. It has long been a center of settlement and commerce, connecting inland communities with maritime routes.

The name Alanyra is derived from the ancient Alani language, with elements commonly translated as sea and land, reflecting its geography and maritime history.

Geographically, Alanyra covers roughly 40,000 square kilometers and features a mosaic of wetlands, riverine forests, and agricultural plains. The climate is temperate to subtropical, with a pronounced rainy season and diverse biodiversity including mangroves and waterfowl.

Archaeological evidence shows continuous habitation since the early second millennium BCE. Alanyra formed several trade confederations and later integrated into larger polities during the medieval period.

The population includes several ethnic groups, with the Alanyra language (also called Alanyri) spoken as a lingua franca in urban centers. Multilingualism is common in commercial hubs, and local customs retain a blend of indigenous and external influences.

The economy is diversified: fishing, river trade, textiles, pottery, and boat-building. Agriculture centers on rice and maize, with horticulture and market towns along the Serin River.

Notable features include the Moonwell ceremonial site near the delta, the Sapphire Bazaar historic market, and the Serin Deltas National Park, which protects marshlands and migratory birds.
