Sheremetyevo International Airport (IATA: SVO, ICAO: UUEE) is Russia's largest international airport by passenger traffic and a major aviation hub serving Moscow. Located in Khimki, Moscow Oblast, about 29 kilometers northwest of central Moscow, it is the primary hub for Aeroflot and a key gateway in the SkyTeam alliance.

Opened in 1959 as part of the Soviet civil aviation network, the airport has undergone several modernization programs. It now consists of several passenger terminals that handle international and domestic traffic, connected by a common arrivals area and airside concourses. The complex includes cargo facilities and modern passenger amenities such as shops, dining, lounges, and business services.

Airlines and traffic: The airport hosts Aeroflot's main hub operations and serves numerous international carriers. It offers routes across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the Americas, along with extensive domestic services within Russia.

Ground transportation: Sheremetyevo is connected to central Moscow by the Aeroexpress rail link to Belorussky station, as well as by numerous bus routes, taxis, and private cars. There is no direct Moscow Metro link as of now, though the airport is integrated with regional transport networks.
