These muscles, located on the inner side of the thigh, are responsible for bringing the legs together (adduction). Common issues include strains, sprains, and tendinopathy. Strains often occur during activities involving sudden changes in direction, kicking, or forceful stretching of the adductor muscles, such as in soccer, hockey, or sprinting.

Symptoms of adductorrelated pain typically include pain in the groin or inner thigh, tenderness to touch, pain that worsens with activity, and sometimes a palpable defect or swelling if a significant tear has occurred. The pain can range from a dull ache to sharp, intense pain, depending on the severity of the injury. Rehabilitation often involves rest, ice, compression, and elevation (RICE), followed by stretching and strengthening exercises to restore flexibility and muscle function. Gradual return to activity is crucial to prevent re-injury.

Adductorrelated problems can also be chronic, developing over time due to overuse, muscle imbalances, or poor biomechanics.
