Zylinderende
Zylinderende is a term used in engineering to denote the end surface of a cylindrical object. The word combines Zylinder (cylinder) with Ende (end) and appears in German- and Dutch-language technical texts, especially in diagrams and component specifications. In most contexts, a cylinder has two ends: the end face at one extremity of the axis and the opposite end face. The end can be simply a flat end or may be formed into an end cap or cylinder head, sometimes incorporating mounting bosses, seals, or ports.
