Zváraní

Zváraní is the Slovak word for welding. It refers to a fabrication process that joins materials, usually metals or thermoplastics, by causing coalescence. This is often done by melting the workpieces and adding a filler material to form a pool of molten material that cools to become a strong joint, with pressures sometimes used in conjunction with heat or by itself. Various energy sources can be used for welding, including a gas flame, an electric arc, an industrial laser, or friction.

Welding is a permanent joining method. This is in contrast to temporary joining methods such as mechanical fastening, which can be disassembled without damaging the connecting item. Many factors determine the type of welding process used, including the materials to be joined, the environment in which the work is to be done, and the intended use of the finished product. Common welding processes include arc welding, resistance welding, and gas welding.

Arc welding uses an electric arc to create heat, which melts the metals at the joining point. Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) are common types of arc welding. Resistance welding uses electric current to generate heat at the interface of the parts to be joined. Spot welding and seam welding are examples of resistance welding. Gas welding uses a flame, typically produced by burning acetylene with oxygen, to melt the base metals and filler rod.

Welding is a critical process in many industries, including manufacturing, construction, automotive, and aerospace. The quality of a weld is paramount to the integrity and safety of the final product. Various techniques and quality control measures are employed to ensure strong and reliable welds.
