ZoomX

ZoomX is a proprietary foam cushioning technology developed by Nike. It is primarily used in their high-performance running shoes, particularly in models designed for racing and speed training. The material is characterized by its exceptional energy return and lightweight properties, which are intended to provide runners with a responsive and propulsive feel.

The foam is made from a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) material, which is then expanded through a process called supercritical foaming. This process creates a foam with a unique cell structure, allowing it to be both soft and resilient. Nike claims that ZoomX foam is their softest and most responsive cushioning to date.

ZoomX was first introduced in the Nike Vaporfly 4% running shoe, which gained significant attention for its performance benefits and its role in setting new marathon world records. Since then, it has been incorporated into other Nike running shoe lines, including the Alphafly, Pegasus Turbo, and Invincible lines, each tailored for different types of running and runner needs.
