Yaym

Yaym is a fictional city-state created for a fantasy setting. Located on a temperate archipelago in the eastern sea, Yaym comprises a coastal belt of harbors and an inland region of rolling hills. The archipelago's climate supports conifer forests and rich fisheries.

History: Founded by seafarers known as the Alderborn in the 9th century, Yaym grew as a maritime trade hub. It achieved a maritime republic phase in the Middle Ages, establishing treaties across the archipelago. In the 15th–16th centuries, Yaym formed a loose federation with neighboring polities and joined the United Archipelago later.
