YTHDC4
YTHDC4 is a member of the YTH domain family of RNA‑binding proteins, which are characterized by a conserved YTH (YT521-B homology) domain that recognizes N6‑methyladenosine (m6A) modifications in RNA. The human YTHDC4 gene is located on chromosome 12p13.33 and encodes a 596‑amino‑acid protein that is predicted to reside mainly in the nucleus. The protein contains a single YTH domain near its C‑terminus, flanked by stretches of low‑complexity sequences that may mediate interactions with other nuclear factors.
Functional studies suggest that YTHDC4 acts as a reader of m6A marks on mRNAs and long noncoding
Although the precise molecular mechanisms and downstream targets of YTHDC4 remain to be fully elucidated, emerging
