Xestochoristers

Xestochoristers, also known as the *Sisterz of the Holy House of Our Lady of Częstochowa*, are a religious community of women dedicated to the worship and veneration of the Black Madonna of Częstochowa, a revered icon of the Virgin Mary located in Poland. The community traces its origins to the early 20th century, emerging from the spiritual devotion of Polish Catholics who sought to honor the miraculous image.

The name "Xestochoristers" derives from the Polish term for Częstochowa, a city in southern Poland where the icon is housed in the Jasna Góra Monastery. The community’s primary focus is on prayer, liturgical worship, and the preservation of Marian devotion. Members, often referred to as "Sisters," live in contemplative communities, following a monastic lifestyle centered on the Eucharist and the Rosary.
