XXlea

XXlea is a fictional town and municipal district in the northern quadrant of the realm of Northmarsh. Created for narrative and educational purposes, it is described here as a small, agriculturally oriented community with a diversified local economy.

Geographically, XXlea sits in a gently rolling valley beside the Xander River, at an elevation of about 180 meters. The climate is temperate, with warm summers and cool winters, shaping a landscape of farmland, orchards, and scattered woodlands.

XXlea was founded in the late medieval period and received a market charter in 1425. It grew as a regional trading hub, expanding transportation links in the 19th century with the arrival of the Crestline railway and a modernizing highway network.

Its economy combines agriculture—grain, dairy, and horticulture—with light manufacturing and services. Local businesses benefit from a small logistics park and a regional bus and rail network, connecting XXlea to larger towns while preserving its village-scale character.

As of the latest estimates, XXlea has around 11,000 to 12,000 residents. The community is diverse, with a mix of native and migrant residents, several cultural associations, and a notable Harvest Festival held each autumn.

Educational institutions include XXlea University’s regional campus and a polytechnic center offering applied programs in agriculture and engineering. Notable landmarks are the Market Hall (built in 1762), the Old Stone Bridge, and the riverside promenade.
