XMBinspired
XMBinspired is a user interface framework and design language that takes cues from Sony’s Cross Media Bar (XMB), the menu system originally introduced with the PlayStation 2 and later refined on the PlayStation 3. The project was launched in early 2023 by a team of independent developers who sought to create a modular, lightweight UI toolkit that could be easily integrated into embedded systems, media players, and home‑automation dashboards. By leveraging modern web technologies such as Web Components, CSS Grid, and ES6 modules, XMBinspired retains the iconic tile‑based navigation and navigation cubicles of the original XMB while offering improved accessibility, theme customization, and responsive design.
Key features include a flexible layout engine that supports square and rectilinear tile arrangements, native escape‑key
