X500Standards
X500Standards is a collaborative set of international standards and best practices intended to enable interoperability among directory services that implement or align with X.500 lineage. The initiative encompasses rules for architecture, data modeling, naming, synchronization, access control, and interoperability between different DITs and DSAs, as well as compatibility with LDAP interfaces. X500Standards aims to bridge the X.500 family (originally defined by ISO/IEC 9594 and ITU-T X.500) with modern deployment patterns including cloud, hybrid, and on‑premises environments.
