The WarmteAandeelIndex (WAI) is a Dutch metric used to assess the energy efficiency and sustainability of residential buildings, particularly in relation to heat consumption. Developed in the Netherlands, it serves as a tool for evaluating how well a building performs in terms of heat demand and the use of renewable energy sources.

The index is based on a scale ranging from 1 to 100, where a lower number indicates better performance.
