Værktøjsskift

Værktøjsskift, often translated as tool changer or tool changer system, refers to a mechanism designed to automatically or semi-automatically exchange cutting tools on a machine tool. This process is crucial in modern manufacturing, particularly in CNC machining, where different operations may require distinct tools. The primary goal of a værktøjsskift system is to minimize downtime associated with manual tool changes, thereby increasing productivity and efficiency.

There are several types of værktøjsskift systems, with automatic tool changers (ATCs) being the most common.
