Vákuumfémgőzöléshez refers to vacuum metallization, a process used to deposit thin films of metal onto a substrate. This technique is employed in various industries for decorative, protective, and functional purposes. The core principle involves heating a metal material in a high vacuum chamber until it vaporizes. This metal vapor then travels through the vacuum and condenses onto the surface of the object being coated, forming a thin, uniform metallic layer.

The process typically begins with cleaning the substrate to ensure optimal adhesion of the deposited metal. The substrate is then placed in a vacuum chamber, which is evacuated to very low pressure. A source material, such as a wire, powder, or rod of the desired metal, is heated using an electron beam, a resistance heater, or induction heating. As the metal reaches its vaporization temperature, it turns into a gas. This vapor expands within the chamber and strikes the cooler substrate, solidifying into a thin film. The thickness of the film can be precisely controlled by adjusting the deposition time, the rate of vaporization, and the distance between the source and the substrate.
