Vuositilinpäätösraportin

Vuositilinpäätösraportti, often translated as annual financial statement report, is a comprehensive document that summarizes a company's financial performance and position over a fiscal year. In Finland, it is a legally mandated report for most businesses. The primary purpose of the vuositilinpäätösraportti is to provide stakeholders, such as shareholders, creditors, investors, and regulatory bodies, with essential information to assess the company's financial health and operational efficiency.

The report typically consists of several key components. The income statement (tuloslaskelma) details the company's revenues, expenses, and net profit or loss for the reporting period. The balance sheet (tase) presents a snapshot of the company's assets, liabilities, and equity at the end of the fiscal year, illustrating its financial structure. The cash flow statement (rahoituslaskelma) tracks the movement of cash and cash equivalents into and out of the company, categorized into operating, investing, and financing activities.

In addition to these core financial statements, the vuositilinpäätösraportti usually includes notes to the financial statements (liitetiedot). These notes provide further explanations and details about the accounting policies used, significant accounting judgments, and other relevant information that aids in understanding the financial statements. A management report (toimintakertomus) may also be included, offering qualitative insights into the company's business, its strategy, significant events during the year, and future prospects. The entire report is subject to auditing by an independent auditor to ensure its accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
