Vulkanit is a fictional mineral described as a rare aluminosilicate that forms in high-temperature volcanic environments. The name is derived from the Latin vulcanus for volcano and the common mineral suffix -ite, and it is used here to illustrate a typical mineral-entry format.

Occurrence and formation are described as small, well-formed crystals found in vesicular basalts near volcanic centers, often in association with zeolites, cristobalite, and volcanic glass.
