VPS28 is a line of compact system-on-modules and single-board computers designed for embedded and edge computing applications. It was introduced by Vespera Technologies in 2019 as part of a family intended to balance developer flexibility with compact form.

The VPS28 platform centers on a quad-core ARM Cortex-A55 processor running at up to 1.8 GHz, paired with 4 GB or 8 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 16–64 GB of eMMC storage. It offers expansion and connectivity through PCIe 2.0 x1, USB 3.0, HDMI 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and Bluetooth 5.0, along with camera interfaces (CSI/DSI) for multimedia and vision projects. The modules use a compact 55 mm x 40 mm form factor and support wide operating temperatures for industrial use; power is typically 5 V with a configurable standby mode.

Software support emphasizes Linux environments, with official BSPs for Yocto and Ubuntu Core, U-Boot bootloader, and containerization via Docker. The platform is designed to accommodate edge AI workloads with optional neural processing units and accelerator headers.

Variants include VPS28-BASE, VPS28-EDGE, and VPS28-AI, differentiated by RAM/storage, I/O density, and optional AI acceleration. The ecosystem includes reference designs, a hardware abstraction layer, and community-driven tutorials to assist developers.
