Volymområde is a Swedish term that translates to "volume range" or "amplitude range" in English. It is a concept used in various fields, most notably in acoustics and signal processing, to describe the extent of variations in the amplitude of a signal over a given period.

In acoustics, volymområde refers to the difference between the loudest and quietest parts of a sound. A sound with a large volymområde would have significant dynamic contrast, meaning it has very loud passages and very quiet passages. Conversely, a sound with a small volymområde would be more uniform in loudness.
