Vogtles
The Vogtle is a small passerine bird that inhabits the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia. Its scientific name, Vogtlesca regalis, places it in the family Estrildidae, which includes other finch-like species. Adults measure about 12 centimeters in length and weigh approximately 15 grams. The species is easily identified by its striking iridescent emerald-green back, a bright scarlet throat, and a distinctive pale blue eye-ring. Sexual dimorphism is minimal, although males usually exhibit a slightly brighter plumage during the breeding season.
