Vivitism is a rare and poorly understood neurological condition characterized by the sensation of being alive or conscious during periods of clinical death, such as cardiac arrest or severe hypoxia. Individuals who experience vivitism often describe vivid, often vividly detailed, out-of-body experiences (OBEs) or near-death experiences (NDEs) during these moments.
