Viljelyyhteisöt, often translated as cultivation communities or farming collectives, represent a form of communal living and working focused on agricultural production. These communities can vary significantly in their structure, goals, and scale, but a common thread is the shared ownership or management of land and resources for the purpose of growing food or other crops. Members typically contribute labor, skills, and sometimes capital to the collective effort.

The motivations behind establishing or joining a viljelyyhteisö are diverse.
