Vihikud

Vihikud is the Estonian plural noun for notebooks, a class of stationery items used for writing, planning, and recording information. In common usage, vihik refers to a single notebook, while vihikud designates multiple notebooks. Notebooks are produced in a range of formats, including lined, blank, and grid pages, and vary in size, binding, and cover material. Typical covers are cardboard or flexible plastic; bindings include stapled, stitched, and spiral.

In everyday life, vihikud are widespread in education and business. Students use vihikud to take class notes, solve exercises, and organize assignments, while professionals use them for meeting notes, project planning, and to-do lists. The term is often seen on product labels, school supply lists, and in libraries and bookstores.
