Vibratite

Vibratite is a brand of threadlockers and retaining compounds manufactured by Permabond. These products are anaerobic adhesives, meaning they cure in the absence of air and in contact with metal. They are designed to prevent loosening of threaded fasteners and to bond cylindrical assemblies.

The primary function of Vibratite threadlockers is to prevent vibration from loosening nuts and bolts. When applied to threads, the liquid adhesive fills the clearances between the mating parts. Upon assembly and exclusion of air, it polymerizes, creating a strong bond that resists shock and vibration.
