Verkündet

Verkündet is the past participle of the German verb verkünden, meaning to declare, proclaim, or announce something publicly. It is used with the auxiliary haben to form perfect tenses: Er hat die Entscheidung verkündet. In attributive position it can describe something proclaimed: die verkündete Botschaft. The participle also serves adjectivally in phrases like eine vom Staat verkündete Verordnung, or die vom Gericht verkündete Entscheidung.
