Verkkovirtalähteiden, known in English as AC adapters or power supplies, are electronic devices that convert alternating current (AC) from a mains socket into a direct current (DC) voltage suitable for powering electronic devices. They are ubiquitous in modern life, found in everything from mobile phones and laptops to printers and routers. The primary function of a verkkovirtalähde is to step down the high voltage of the AC mains supply to a lower, safer DC voltage and regulate it to ensure stable power delivery.
