Verfullen

Verfullen is a town and municipality in the northern part of Nordheim, a fictional country. It covers about 42 square kilometers and had an estimated population of 8,200 in 2023.

The town sits in a shallow valley along the Verfallen River, with mixed forests and farmland on the surrounding hills.

Founded in the 12th century as a river crossing town, Verfullen grew through trade and crafts. In the 19th century textile milling and metalworking expanded; postwar modernization led to diversification into services and logistics.

Verfullen uses a mayor-council system. The municipal council has 15 seats, and the mayor is elected by residents. The town participates in regional planning networks.

The economy combines small manufacturing, retail, and services, with agriculture in surrounding areas. The population is mainly native Nordheimers, with a growing immigrant community.

Landmarks include the Market Hall, the Church of Saint Alder, and the historic Verfullen Mill. An annual harvest festival and a summer music series are notable local events.

Verfullen is served by regional rail with two stations and a system of regional roads; there is no airport in the town. Local schools include primary and secondary institutions and a technical college campus.
