Vedelikuvaru

Vedelikuvaru is an Indian caste found primarily in Tamil Nadu. They are a subgroup of the Pallar community, which is itself a Scheduled Caste in India's social hierarchy.

Traditionally, members of the Vedelikuvaru caste were involved in the occupation of agriculture labor. They worked on the lands of higher-caste communities, often in exchange for money or in the form of sharecropping. Like many other Scheduled Castes, the Vedelikuvaru community has historically faced social and economic marginalization.
