Varana

Varana is a fictional nation-state commonly featured in fantasy and speculative fiction and in tabletop role-playing games. It is portrayed as a coastal archipelago with a long history of seafaring and trade, and as a cultural crossroads where many linguistic and culinary traditions mingle.

Geography and governance: The archipelago includes a main island and several smaller islets surrounding Varana Bay. Varana City is the capital, situated on the central coast. The government is a parliamentary republic with a president as head of state, a prime minister as head of government, and local assemblies governing individual islands.
