Valprocess is a term used in software engineering to describe a conceptual framework for handling values as they flow through a data processing pipeline. It focuses on validation, normalization, transformation, and routing of data values, with an emphasis on preserving data quality and predictable behavior. The term is not tied to a single standard or vendor and may be used descriptively across languages and platforms.

Core concepts include capturing input values, validating against rules or schemas, normalizing and converting types, enriching or deriving new fields, and routing to downstream components or outputs. A valprocess is often modeled as a sequence of pure, composable steps or as a small workflow where each stage either passes along a value, transforms it, or signals an error.
