Valosensorit

Valosensorit, also known as light sensors, are electronic components that detect and measure light. They work by converting light energy into an electrical signal. This signal can then be processed to control other devices or provide information. There are various types of valosensorit, each suited for different applications.

Photodiodes are common semiconductor devices that exhibit a change in their electrical properties when exposed to light. Their sensitivity and response time make them useful in applications like barcode scanners and remote controls. Phototransistors are similar to photodiodes but offer higher sensitivity, making them suitable for detecting dimmer light sources or for use in applications requiring faster switching speeds.

Photoresistors, also known as light-dependent resistors (LDRs), change their resistance based on the intensity of light falling on them. They are less precise than photodiodes and phototransistors but are inexpensive and widely used in simple light-activated circuits, such as automatic streetlights or camera light meters.

Infrared (IR) sensors detect infrared radiation, a form of electromagnetic radiation invisible to the human eye. These are often used in proximity sensors, motion detectors, and remote control systems.
