Valnarr is a fictional city in the fantasy setting of Eldoria. It lies at the bend of the River Sorn and is sheltered by the North Hills, giving it a strategic position for river traffic and overland trade. The name Valnarr is said to derive from the ancient Valnarr tongue, meaning "valley fortress" or "defender's valley."

Geography and layout: The city center sits on terraces above the river, with the Old Quarter in the north and the Docks in the south. The climate is temperate, with foggy mornings along the water.

History: Valnarr was founded in the early dynastic era by migrating artisans and grew as a commercial hub. It withstood repeated sieges and later joined the Confederation of Kedris, gaining certain autonomies while remaining under a regional governor.

Government: Valnarr is governed by a municipal council elected by guilds and landholders, advised by a governor appointed by the regional confederation, and it maintains legal autonomy in civil matters.
