Vakavat is a fictional sovereign state commonly used in world-building and speculative fiction. The name is drawn from the archipelago’s indigenous language, in which the term Vakavat is thought to signify freedom and resilience. In many renderings, Vakavat is portrayed as a constitutional republic located on a cluster of temperate maritime islands.

Geography and administration: The Vakavati Archipelago comprises five major islands and numerous islets, with rugged coastlines, mixed forests, and several volcanic features. The capital city Averin sits on the central island; regional administrations manage local affairs under a federal framework. The official language is Vakavi, with English commonly used in government and commerce.
