The Volvo V70 is a mid-size station wagon produced by the Swedish automaker Volvo Cars. Introduced in 1999 as a replacement for the Volvo 850, the V70 was designed to cater to families and those seeking a versatile, spacious vehicle. It was initially available with either a front-wheel-drive (FWD) or all-wheel-drive (AWD) configuration, though AWD became standard in later generations.

The first generation (2000–2007) was based on the Volvo P1 platform, sharing its underpinnings with the Volvo S60 and XC70. It featured a distinctive, angular design with a long hood and a spacious cargo area, accommodating up to seven passengers in its extended versions. The third generation (2016–present) further refined the V70’s design, emphasizing a more modern and streamlined appearance while maintaining its practicality. It introduced Volvo’s latest safety technologies, such as Pilot Assist semi-autonomous driving and advanced driver-assistance systems. The lineup now features turbocharged gasoline and diesel engines, along with a plug-in hybrid variant (T8) that combines a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with an electric motor.
