UÇKsës, also known as the Kosovo Liberation Army, is a Kosovo Albanian paramilitary organization that operated during the Kosovo War in the 1990s. The organization was formed in 1996 by Hashim Thaçi, who served as its leader until his death in 2001. UÇKsës was established to defend Kosovo Albanians against Serbian forces and to promote the independence of Kosovo from Serbia.
