Uzsieniet

Uzsieniet is a term used in Baltic language contexts to refer to a person who lives outside their home country. In Latvian and Lithuanian, the concept is closely tied to emigration and diaspora. The masculine form in Latvian is uzsienietis and the feminine uzsieniete; in Lithuanian the equivalents are užsienietis and užsienietė.

Usage and meaning: Uzsieniet is a descriptive label rather than a legal status. It describes where a person resides and, to some extent, their social or cultural ties. It is commonly used in demographic, sociological, and media contexts to discuss foreigners or people living abroad, irrespective of citizenship.
