Unirytmihäiriöiden
Unirytmihäiriöt, also known as circadian rhythm sleep disorders, are a group of conditions characterized by a persistent disruption of the body's internal sleep-wake cycle. This internal clock, or circadian rhythm, is primarily regulated by light and darkness and influences many bodily functions, including sleepiness and wakefulness. When this rhythm is out of sync with the external environment or social expectations, it leads to difficulties initiating or maintaining sleep, excessive daytime sleepiness, or both.
There are several types of unirytmihäiriöitä. Delayed sleep-wake phase disorder is common among adolescents and young
Diagnosis of unirytmihäiriöitä typically involves a thorough medical history, sleep diaries, and sometimes, polysomnography or actigraphy.
