Uglite
Uglite is a mineral characterized by its distinctive, often dull, earthy appearance. Chemically, it is a hydrated silicate of aluminum and magnesium. It typically forms in metamorphic rocks under specific geological conditions, often associated with schists and gneisses. Uglite is known for its variable hardness, usually ranging between 4 and 5 on the Mohs scale, making it relatively soft compared to many common minerals. Its specific gravity is also moderate, contributing to its somewhat dense feel.
The color of uglite can vary significantly, commonly appearing in shades of gray, green, brown, or even
