UWBteknologiaa, or Ultra-Wideband technology, is a radio frequency technology that can use a very low energy level for a short transmission time between transmitter and receiver. It is a wireless technology that transmits and receives radio signals in a wide spectrum of radio frequencies, at different frequencies. UWB has many applications, including precise indoor positioning, secure communication, and radar.

The core principle behind UWB is the transmission of very short pulses, on the order of nanoseconds. These pulses spread across a very wide frequency band, hence the name "ultra-wideband." This wide bandwidth allows for high data rates and excellent resistance to interference. A key characteristic of UWB is its low power spectral density, meaning it transmits at very low power levels, making it less likely to interfere with other radio systems.

One of the most prominent applications of UWB is in precise location tracking. By measuring the time of flight of UWB signals, devices can determine their position relative to other UWB anchors with centimeter-level accuracy. This is significantly more accurate than traditional Wi-Fi or Bluetooth positioning. This accuracy makes UWB ideal for applications such as asset tracking in warehouses, indoor navigation, and proximity sensing for secure access control. UWB is also used in certain advanced radar systems and for high-bandwidth, short-range data communication.
