Job sharing is not to be confused with job swapping, where two people exchange jobs, or part-time work, where an individual works fewer hours than a full-time employee. While job sharing involves two or more people sharing a single job, job swapping involves two people exchanging their jobs, and part-time work involves an individual working fewer hours than a full-time employee.
