Töötuskindlustusmakse

Töötuskindlustusmakse, also known as employment insurance contributions, refers to the mandatory payments made by both employers and employees in Estonia to fund the unemployment insurance system. This system provides financial support to individuals who have lost their jobs through no fault of their own, helping them maintain a basic standard of living during periods of unemployment.

The primary purpose of töötuskindlustusmakse is to ensure that workers who become unemployed receive temporary financial assistance while they search for new employment. The contributions are collected by the Estonian Employment Insurance Fund (Töötukassa), which administers the unemployment benefits and related services.

Employers and employees each contribute a portion of the total töötuskindlustusmakse.
