Tömegpontok

Tömegpontok is a Hungarian term that translates to "mass points" or "center of mass points" in English. In physics and engineering, a tömegpont refers to an idealized point that represents the entire mass of an object concentrated at a single location. This simplification is extremely useful for analyzing the motion of objects, especially when their size and shape are not critical to the problem being studied.

The concept of a tömegpont allows physicists to treat complex bodies as simple point masses, making calculations of motion, acceleration, and forces much more manageable. For instance, when calculating the trajectory of a projectile like a ball, it is often sufficient to consider the ball as a tömegpont. The gravitational force acts on this single point, and its motion can be described by Newton's laws of motion applied to this point.
